The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.
Measuring 75-foot tall and 45-feet wide, it’s one of the most famous in the world.
This week it arrived in NYC with a surprise inside its branches:
A small, stowaway owl.
The little guy huddled within the 11-ton Norway spruce as it was cut, moved by crane, bound and tightly wound, placed on a trailer, and driven 170 miles under police escort.
Somehow it survived the traumatic experience and was unhurt. After its discovery, wildlife experts quickly arrived and cared for him.
So when the tree lights up on the December 2nd national broadcast, remember that cute owl.
And by the way, he’s been named Rockefeller.
“BEHIND THE CURTAIN” OF YOUR BRAND
No matter the size of a brand, there’s always a lot of behind-the-scenes stories and experiences.
What about your brand? What tools are you using for lighting up your presence to the world?
Here are a few of my favorite “backstage” marketing resources:
WEBSITE DESIGN
Squarespace is my favorite web design platform for many reasons:
Beautiful, modern frameworks
Simple user interface
Mobile-friendly
Software integrations
Affordable
E-commerce capabilities
Security
Small business owners need an easy option for revising online offers and images on the fly. We’ve used Squarespace for years and helped dozens of other businesses develop their web presence.
If you’re looking for a new site design, without being at the mercy of webmasters and coders, Squarespace provides an incredible option.
EMAIL CAMPAIGNS
After using other email software, it took me only 5 seconds to fall in love with Flodesk.
While other platforms are clunky and require a steep learning curve, Flodesk offers:
One monthly price, no matter how large your database
Simple to build segments and workflows
Gorgeous templates
A supportive community of users
Easy automation set-up
Flodesk provides the perfect tool for small business email campaigns. And you can grab a discount using my affiliate link.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Canva is a game changer for graphics. It’s ideal for those who need fantastic designs without hiring professionals all the time.
I use this daily for website images, email campaigns, slides, and social media/blog posts. There are tons of features, but here are some favs:
Templates for any design project
Ability to upload your own images and videos
A free plan that meets the needs for most users
Storage area for your uploaded content
Pre-defined social media sizes
Canva polishes the look of any business. If you’re not using it, stop right now and get started with this referral link.
INVOICING / PROPOSALS
Invoices and proposals rarely give people goosebumps. But when you use a client management system like Dubsado, you may do a happy dance.
Dubsado is essential as we engage with clients. What makes it so great?
Automates proposals, contracts, and invoices
Offers a client portal for a professional touch point
Integrations with other software
Easy invoicing (payment schedules, reoccurring invoices, and auto-pay)
A dashboard that shows key business metrics at a glance
